About St Peter's Church Building

An architectural gem, St Peter's Church contains a wealth of rare features from different centuries since the Norman period.

Take a virtual tour around this historic building.  See it's history, it's treasures - and the challenges we face...........

These and many other fine interior and exterior features are in jeopardy owing to the subsidence of the building following several years of dry weather, together with the ravages of time which have caused damage to the medieval paintings and the medieval carvings and stonework both inside and outside.  One of the stained glass windows has had to be removed temporarily (The Good Shepherd window) to prevent the danger of it falling out.
